WooCommerce and AliExpress

WooConmmerce and Aliexpress sounds like a great idea. Internet Marketers set up a Shopify or Store through WordPress, then display Aliexpress products. When a customer visits the site and orders one of the products, the owner of the Shopify site then orders the product directly from Aliexpress and ships the product directly to the customer.

Ecommerce Evolved: The Essential Playbook To Build, Grow & Scale A Successful Ecommerce Business

So many things I see are wrong with this plan:

It takes 2 – 3 weeks for the product to arrive. In this time of I WANT IT NOW, I cannot believe customers will be patient enough to wait for the product.

Even though the website owner writes a note that say something like “Do not include an invoice!” it sometimes happen. I’ve seen the Chinese company put he original price on the mailing label. Not good!

I person

ally am too busy to look at the orders received on my back office and take time to go to Aliexpress and do the work to send it to the customer. Yep, I’m lazy. Today I had to packup and ship clothes I sold on Poshmark and I crabbed all the way to the Post Office. I like everything to be automatic. That’s why I prefer FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon). I purchase the products from China and they ship to me. Then I enter it into my Amazon inventory, label everything, then ship to Amazon. They take care of all the rest.

Affiliate Marketing: How To Make Money Online And Build Your Own $100,000+ Affiliate Marketing Online Business, Passive Income, Clickbank, Amazon Affiliate, Amazon Affiliate Program

Amazon has million of customers so how many do you think your Shopify store is going to have? How are you going to attract buyers to your site?  Paid ads?  Blogging?

Now there is another software being sold called Shop Express. I have experimented with it and it is super easy to use. However, I have contacted people who are using it and they have ZERO sales. I have to say, my guess is the only people that are making money on Shop Express are the people who are selling Shop Express. Youtube is loaded with people pushing Shop Express for a small affiliate fee.

I have a lot of clients who have expressed interest in setting up Shopify stores for extra income, but I have not seen anyone make enough to leave their regular jobs. I think that setting up a Shopify store would be great if you are selling a product you have made, but using Aliexpress to do your dropshipping…don’t think it’s a money making opportunity.

If you are still interested, I can walk you through the setup and show you how to add products the proper SEO way. I have a client that is an artist and she sells her paintings through a Shopify store. She has a art room with boxes and boxes of prints and does all the shipping herself. It’s a lot of work.

Also, there are many people selling courses. I’ve seen the price of a course around 1k. So, if they are experts and making zillions of dollars WHY are they selling a course?  Because they are making more money selling the course then they are using Shopify.

Believe me. If I find a way to make mucho buckos on the Internet, you will be the first to know.
